Horticulture Therapy is the use of plants and the natural work to improve the social, spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the individuals who participate.
Lisa and Shona's vision in to provide the benefit of nature and plants for those who need physical, emotional, cognitive, psychological, and social input. Gardens and nature have been used for therapeutic benefit since ancient times.
Horticultural Group Therapy for the seniors of our population, utilizes plants, stones, earth, shells for gardening activities in therapeutic and rehabilitation activities. This has been shown to increase the quality of life of the world wide ageing population, potentially reducing the costs for long-term, assisted living and dementia residents.
The Horticulture Therapy program does home visits.
